We celebrated E's first birthday on Saturday! It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day, and everything was perfect... except for the trip to Urgent Care right before the party, because E's finger got caught in the door, ripping up skin and what looked like part of her pinky fingernail. No bones were broken, and the Dr. said to just keep it clean and bandaged, if she will allow (No, she will not. She had that band aid off before she even got back home). But it didn't seem to put a damper on her party spirit... this girl is one tough cookie, I tell ya.

From the moment we laid eyes on you, we were hooked. From your beautiful bright blue eyes to your sweet smile, your infectious giggle to the way you wrinkle your nose up when you're being silly, you brighten up our lives and make the world a better place.
